The Brave Kids Immunisation Clinic is designed for children and teenagers who feel anxious, overwhelmed, fearful, or uncomfortable about vaccinations.
We know that healthcare experiences can be different for every child. Bright lights, unfamiliar environments, waiting rooms, and the anticipation of an injection can all make immunisation appointments challenging.
Our Brave Kids Clinic provides a quieter, more flexible approach, helping children feel safe, supported, and successful during their visit.
Who is this clinic for?
Brave Kids may be helpful for children and teenagers who:
- Feel anxious about vaccinations
- Have a fear of needles
- Are autistic or neurodivergent
- Experience sensory sensitivities
- Have had a difficult vaccination experience in the past
- Need extra time, flexibility, or support during healthcare appointments

Social Story
Many children find it helpful to know exactly what will happen before they arrive.
Our Brave Kids social story walks children through each step of their visit, including:
- Arriving at Village Practice
- Meeting the reception team
- Waiting for the nurse
- Having their vaccination
- Recovery time after the immunisation
