"For Kilmeny, “meaningful medicine” means empowering people to look after, and maintain their health in their contexts."
Kilmeny has recently relocated to the Illawarra from the Southern Highlands, and is greatly enjoying the benefits of coastal living in this beautiful region. After completing her medical degree and working in Cape Town, South Africa, Kilmeny migrated to Australia in 2008, where she subsequently earned her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She values the experience she has gained from working in two very different countries, and with a wide range of people from diverse life circumstances.
Kilmeny is passionate about general practice being the foundation of our health care system and enjoys the sense of community that working in general practice provides. She seeks to build relationships with people over time, empowering them to look after, and maintain their health in their contexts.
Kilmeny welcomes patients of all ages and at all stages of life. She enjoys all aspects of general practice including preventative medicine, antenatal and postnatal care, paediatrics, women’s health and travel medicine. She is a registered antenatal shared care provider.
